“Women in Security and Defence Institutions” workshop was hosted by IDD
We hosted the “Women in Security and Defence Institutions” workshop, which was organized by the British Embassy in Baku and supported by the Embassy of Latvia and the United Nations Azerbaijan.
We hosted the “Women in Security and Defence Institutions” workshop, which was organized by the British Embassy in Baku and supported by the Embassy of Latvia and the United Nations Azerbaijan.
The workshop consisted of three sessions addressing the following questions by bringing together local and international experts:
- Why are women’s participation and leadership in defence and security institutions critical?
- What are successful strategies in promoting women’s participation and leadership in defence and security institutions?
- Which strong steps can be taken to promote women’s participation and leadership in defense and security institutions?
The sessions are followed by group work to reflect upon which strategies could be used to implement good practices in security and defence institutions.
