IDD delegation participated in a series of events and meetings in the capital of the European Union
During a study trip to Brussels organized as part of a program funded through the EU’s Jean Monnet module, an IDD delegation participated in a series of events and meetings in the capital of the European Union between 5-9 December 2022.
Led by IDD Director Fariz Ismailzade and IDD Director for Policy Research, Analysis, and Publications Damjan Krnjević Mišković, the IDD delegation had a full program.
Dr. Ismailzade signed a wide-ranging MoU with the Managing Director of the European Neighbourhood Council (ENC), Mr. Samuel Doveri Veterbye. Dr. Ismailzade also attended in an International Conference on Promoting Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue for A Safer World.
The IDD delegation, which also included Research Fellows Nargiz Gafarova and Inara Yagubova, had meetings with a number of other Brussels-based think tanks, including the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS), the European Policy Center (EPC), the Egmont Institute, and New Direction.
Members of the IDD delegation also met with representatives of various EU institutions (EEAS, DG ENER, DG NEAR, and the European Council) as well as representatives of the Brussels School of Governance and the Brussels Diplomatic Academy.
In addition, Prof. Krnjević gave closed-door briefings to a meeting of the Brussels Energy Club and members of the EU Energy Platform Taskforce (he was joined at the latter event by IDD Head of the Energy and Sustainable Development Program Ahmad Humbatov via video conference).
