We hosted a documentary screening of “The Odin Code”, produced by the Swedish photographer and filmmaker Mikael Silkeberg.
The National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO supported the production of this 50-minute documentary, which explores the historical ties between Scandinavia and Azerbaijan.
The film was based on the theory of the famous Norwegian ethnographer Thor Heyedahl, who visited Azerbaijan four times during both the Soviet and Independence periods.
The film screening featured remarks delivered by Malahat Farajova, former director of Gobustan Museum, Vusala Afandiyeva, director of the Scandinavian Center at Azerbaijan University of Languages and Mustafa Shabanov, representative of National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO.
