Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection and Resilience (CEIP&R) workshop has started at ADA University with the collaboration of the Executive Education Institute for Development and Diplomacy, Naval Postgraduate School’s Energy Academic Group, BP Azerbaijan, and SOCAR.
Diverse participants from Azerbaijan’s ministries, government and security agencies, and other applicable organizations with responsibilities related to energy security, resilience, and national critical (energy) systems protection participate in this program which will last till July 1.
This workshop centers on a systematic approach for developing an Energy Infrastructure Resiliency Plan (IRP) for Azerbaijan to enhance the security and resilience of its critical energy infrastructure systems.
The event will include information-sharing sessions and syndicate work focused on critical (energy) infrastructure protection, resilience methods and best practices, development, and analysis of conceptual designs, requirements, and alternatives. These sessions aim to enhance partner nation energy security and resilience efforts as well as identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
The speakers of the USA Naval Postgraduate School will show applied engineering methods to protect infrastructure and ensure sustainability through a series of presentations and facilitated working group sessions.
On the first day of the event, the speakers of USANaval Postgraduate School, Tahmina Karimova, Brenda Shaffer, Tony Pollman, and Andy Hernandez as well as David Willey from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) made a speech.
