Institute for Development and Diplomacy of ADA University has started trainings within the "Jean Monnet Module" program

The training program organized by Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) has started. The program is attended by 30 participants representing 20 state institutions, including ministries and committees.

At the opening ceremony of the program, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of ADA University and Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, said that the European Union (EU) – Azerbaijan ties are deepening day by day. Energy security is strengthened by activities in energy, communication, education, and other fields. Since the activities in the public sector deepen our relationship with the EU, public sector employees should learn about the relations between the EU and our country.

Touching upon the relations in the education field, Dr. Ismailzade noted that ADA University provides up to 40 students to study in European countries every year. He added that the Institute for Development and Diplomacy trains professionals who will further develop relations with the EU within the framework of the trainings organized on the relevant topic.

Peter Michalko, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Azerbaijan, highlighted that the institution he represents supports the reforms carried out in the social sphere in Azerbaijan. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation between academic and civil society institutions, the ambassador pointed out that efforts in this direction are expanding yearly.

Nargiz Ismayilova, Head of Executive Education at IDD said that the current trainings at ADA University, which is the first higher institution awarded the title of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (JMCE), will increase awareness about EU institutions.

It should be noted 5-day training program will be led by experienced experts of IDD, teachers of ADA University, representatives of state institutions, and foreign experts. Trainings conducted by the Executive Education Program of IDD within the "Jean Monnet Module" framework are jointly organized with the Ca'Foscari University of Italy.
