Ms. Sevinj Fataliyeva was elected to the National Assembly of Azerbaijan in 2010 and became the youngest deputy in the history of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Ms. Fataliyeva participated in the 5th convocation elections to the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis as a candidate of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), won the vote, and was elected a member of the Milli Majlis. In 2015-2020, she worked as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Milli Majlis and as a member of the Committee on Public Unions and Religious Institutions. Ms. Fataliyeva was the head of the Azerbaijan-Denmark interparliamentary relations working group, and a member of the US, Chile, Sweden, Qatar, Egypt, Peru, Japan, and Greece interparliamentary relations working groups. Ms. Fataliyeva is also the head of the International Relations Department of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), and the vice-chairman of the Women's Council.
