Ruslan Suleymanov is a non-resident research fellow at the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD). An independent political analyst and journalist focusing on Middle East issues, he was formerly a senior correspondent for Russia’s state news agency TASS in Cairo. Mr. Suleymanov's major areas of research are contemporary geopolitical issues. He focuses mainly on Middle East studies, especially on Türkiye, Iran, Israel, Egypt etc. Moreover, he examines Azerbaijan's foreign policy and its cooperation with both regional and global actors.
