Dr. Fariz Ismailzade is Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD), Vice Rector for Government, External, and Student Affairs at ADA University, and Member of Parliament, Deputy Chair of the Education and Science Committee. His major roles include developing the overall strategy of the Institute and its Annual Action Plan, supporting the mission and vision of the Institute, and contributing to the development and implementation of IDD’s strategy for partnering with various institutes on joint programs and projects in our country and abroad.
Dr. Ismailzade’s main areas of expertise include Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, Azerbaijan’s relations with its neighboring countries, critical historical events in the Caspian Region, international terrorism, and public diplomacy.
