
MoU between IDD and Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC)
The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) of ADA University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a framework for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two parties. The MoU was signed by ADA University Vice Rector Fariz Ismailzade and AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov.
The collaboration will focus on fostering new approaches in research, analytics, and green finance in the region. Both parties have agreed to exchange information and expertise in these areas.
The joint efforts will involve conducting collaborative research and implementing projects in areas of mutual interest, along with the exchange of publications and materials. Both organisations are committed to sharing knowledge and experience in educational processes at academic institutions, as well as actively participating in conferences, panel discussions and other relevant events. A key component of this partnership will be active cooperation on green finance initiatives.
Fariz Ismailzade, ADA University Vice Rector, highlighted: “The Memorandum of Understanding between the two Parties marks a critical step in bridging the gap between diplomacy and finance in today’s interconnected world. It brings new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic dialogue between key sectors.”
Renat Bekturov, AIFC Governor, commented: “This agreement opens up new opportunities for experience-sharing between our organisations and will enhance research capabilities and collaboration in green finance, which is critical for sustainable economic growth both in Kazakhstan and beyond.”
As the leading financial hub in Central Asia, the AIFC views this MoU as an important step in strengthening international financial cooperation and emphasises the role of cross-regional partnerships in addressing global challenges.
