IDD hosted GPLS on Development of the Modern Ecosystem of Intellectual Property
We hosted Mr. Hasan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), within the Global Perspectives Lecture Series (GPLS).
During the lecture on "Development of the Modern Ecosystem of Intellectual Property", Mr. Kleib talked about how Intellectual property (IP) can improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and provide a potential source of revenue. He also provided the audience with a closer instruction about differentiating between intellectual property and trademarks as well as steps for registering start-up ideas as IP.
Mr. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board at Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with other representatives also attended the meeting. They talked about the notable steps undertaken in Azerbaijan with regard to intellectual property.
