The "Caspian Basin Studies" Program of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) has started its activities
Foreign diplomats and civil servants, as well as representatives from think tanks and diplomatic institutes, attend the program. Up to 30 participants representing seventeen countries - Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Türkiye, UK, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, will familiarize themselves with the Caspian region through a one-week program.
Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony of the program, Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of ADA University and Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, spoke about the history of "Caspian Basin Studies," its role in providing more information about the political and economic position of our country, as well as supporting networking among members of the international community.
Aygun Hajiyeva, Deputy Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy and Advisor to the Vice-Rector for Government, External, and Student Affairs at ADA University talked about the mission of the IDD to become a regional hub for political research and analysis as well as intellectual discussions, in addition to training talents and supporting the international promotion of our country.
Nargiz Ismayilova, Head of the Executive Education Program of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, highlighted the successes achieved by the program over the past 15 years and pointed out that the program brings together representatives of the state and private sectors, local and international institutions, and ensures dialogue between them.
It should be noted that, within the framework of the program, lectures will be delivered on the history, geostrategic position, and economic opportunities of the Caspian region. Additionally, the participants will be informed about Azerbaijan's history, culture, development strategy, position in the region, and bilateral relations with neighboring countries. Visits to various museums, cultural and historical sites, and other places, as well as trips to the city of Aghdam, will be organized to provide comprehensive information to the participants.
