IDD Engages in Critical Discussions on Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation at International Conference
The Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) played a prominent role in the Second International Conference titled *“The Right to Return: Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled from Armenia.”
Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, IDD’s Director and Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, moderated a key panel addressing the historical and legal dimensions of the right of displaced Azerbaijanis to return to their ancestral lands. The session featured distinguished experts who delved into the profound implications of displacement and the pursuit of justice for affected communities.
Complementing these discussions, Prof. Damjan Krnjević, IDD’s Director for Policy Research and Analysis, chaired the panel “Reconciliation and Peacebuilding Efforts in Conflict-Affected Regions.” This session shed light on actionable strategies to promote reconciliation and sustainable peace in regions recovering from conflict.
These panels underscored IDD’s commitment to fostering dialogue, advancing justice, and contributing to the global discourse on conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
