President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended the 7th annual International Forum titled “Facing the New World Order,” jointly organized by ADA University and the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).
President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Pashayev underlined the growing relevance of the Forum amid complex global shifts. He noted that this year’s event brought together a record number of participants, including 80 international experts representing global think tanks and academic institutions from 44 countries.
While addressing key global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, weakening multilateralism, rising nationalism, climate change, and economic protectionism, Ambassador Pashayev emphasized that the Forum serves as a vital platform for in-depth discussions on the future of the global order and Azerbaijan’s evolving role within it.
In his address, President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the strategic significance of hosting such discussions in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. First of all, I would like to welcome you all to Azerbaijan, and express my gratitude to the ADA University, and its leadership and its Rector, Professor Pashayev, for the initiative to launch this process.
As it has already been said, it’s the 7th time that a large group of international experts from different countries has visited Azerbaijan to address important issues of the global agenda. At the same time, all these visits help people know Azerbaijan better, feel the pulse of the country.
After the liberation of the historical territories of Azerbaijan, the regular visits of international experts to the liberated territories, of course, provide more information about the history of our country. The history of the conflict and, today’s reality of Azerbaijan cannot be separated from our glorious victory in the Second Karabakh War and also from the unique precedent of the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity without international support. It was done through military-political means, by ourselves."
The Forum continued with dynamic discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s role in shaping regional peace and its contribution to global dialogue amid complex geopolitical transformations.
