IDD Hosted Roundtable, “Anticipating Tomorrow: A Strategic Foresight”
The first panel on "Strategic Foresight Shaping Tomorrow: Governance, Academia, and Public Policies," moderated by Dr. Kais Hammami, Director of the Centre for Foresight and Artificial Intelligence, ICESCO, was attended by representatives of ICESCO, UNESCO, and international research institutes.
This panel featured discussions led by Epameinondas Christofilopoulos, UNESCO Chair on Futures Research and Rafael Popper, President of Green Iceberg.
Mohamed Alaraby from FARAS, Shams Hamid from IMAGINE, Muamar Salameh from the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Centre for Futuristic Studies, and Sultan Khalifa Al Rubaei from TRENDS Research & Advisor were the panelists.
The second panel discussion on "Azerbaijan's Experience in Strategic Foresight Management," moderated by Mr. Damjan Krnjević Mišković, IDD’s Director for Policy Research, Analysis, and Publications, brought together keynote speakers Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief Executive Officer of COP29 Azerbaijan and Jalal Gasimov, Chief Executive Officer of PASHA Holding LLC.
Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP Vice President for the Caspian Region, Communications, and External Affairs and Teyba Guliyeva, Chair of the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce, delivered speeches on the topic.
The closing remarks were delivered by Anar Karimov, Head of Partnership and International Cooperation Sector, ICESCO and Kais Hammami, Director of the Center for Foresight and Artificial Intelligence, ICESCO.
