
Workshop Led by Local and International Experts: "Urban Sustainability Workshop: Integrating Science, Policy, and Citizen Action"
We hosted a workshop on urban sustainability by bringing together international experts.
The workshop provided critical insights and recommendations to enrich the global initiative of COP29, focusing on smart, sustainable, green, and healthy cities.
The event featured diverse sessions conducted by experts from Swiss Federal Institutes (EAWAG and WSL), the University of Geneva, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, and the UCLA Institute of Environment and Sustainability.
Sessions were also conducted by representatives from the Institute of Geography, Azerbaijan, as well as the International Organization for Knowledge Economy and Enterprise Development, Sweden.
Led by Dr. Alexandre Hedjazi, Director of the GEPP Program at the University of Geneva, the workshop covered the following topics:

The sessions were attended by members of the COP29 Organizing Committee, representatives of the National Council for Sustainable Development, public sector officials, special representative offices, members of academia, and representatives from international and local NGOs.
