The fall volume of #BakuDialogues is out.
This volume of the flagship English-language quarterly policy journal of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy at ADA University features seven thought-provoking essays from esteemed experts and analysts worldwide.
The articles were collected under four headings:
✅ Silk Road Region as Global Keystone? Geopolitics & Connectivity in the Heart of the World
✅Diplomacy & Achieving Peace
✅Two Views on the Conflict over Ukraine
✅Visions of Connectivity
The Fall 2023 volume, which spans 122 pages and includes seven articles and interviews, collects the research findings of the academic and professional communities on critical aspects of the changing geopolitics of energy and connectivity, as well as the legal and political mechanisms of peacekeeping efforts conducted by Azerbaijan. In addition to providing an overview of the Ukraine Conflict, this volume offers a distinct perspective on the relationship between Latin America and the South Caucasus.
In the first section, titled ‘Silk Road Region as Global Keystone? Geopolitics & Connectivity in the Heart of the World’, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mr. Robert F. Cekuta analyzes the shifting geopolitics of energy.
In the second chapter, ‘Diplomacy & Achieving Peace’ features the article ‘Legal and Political Mechanisms for Peacemaking’ authored by Mr. Rodrigo Labardini, former Mexican ambassador to Azerbaijan and Diplomat-in-Residence of IDD.
The following chapter, 'Two Views on the Conflict over Ukraine' consists of two articles 'The Russo-Ukrainian War and the Exhaustion of the 1945 World Order: Tracing the Origins, Examining the Consequences' written by Mr. Manuel Becerra Ramírez, and 'Resolving the Russia-Ukraine Impasse: Lessons from an African Cosmological Viewpoint' written by Mr. Evans O. Ogada.
The final chapter titled 'Visions of Connectivity' features three pieces: 'Latin America and the New Caucasus: Linking Points Between Brazil and Azerbaijan' authored by Roberto Rodolfo Georg Uebel.
'Transport and Transit Policy of Kazakhstan and the Silk Road Region' authored by Bulat Auelbeyev & Aidar Kurmashev is the next article of this chapter.
'Fostering a New Global Conversation: A View from Mexico on Diversifying Inter-Regional Engagement' written by Guadalupe González Chávez is the last article of this heading.
