
7th ADA Policy Forum, "Facing the New World Order" Hosted in Khankendi city, Azerbaijan
On April 8, the 7th ADA Policy Forum on the topic "Facing the New World Order" took place at Karabakh University in Khankendi city of Azerbaijan, jointly organized by ADA University and the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).
80 international experts representing global think tanks from 44 countries participated in the Forum.
The participants of the Forum were welcomed by Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of ADA University.
Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University and Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, delivered initial remarks.
The first panel of the Forum discussed the topic "Geopolitical Changes and Their Impact on Regional Sovereignty."
The panel was moderated by AIR Center's Chairman of the Board Farid Shafiyev. Panelists from Türkiye, China, and Hungary touched on the impact of changes in the global power balance on national sovereignty, maintaining strategic stability in the region, and the importance of responsible partnerships.
The second panel was dedicated to the topic "The New World Order: Expectations from Economic Transformation and the Digital Revolution."
The panel was moderated by Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of ADA University and Member of Parliament.
A wide spectrum of topics, including economic independence, the impact of technologies on the global distribution of power, and sustainable development approaches, was discussed by experts from the United States, Kazakhstan, and Greece.
Forum participants regarded the organization of the event in Khankendi as a reflection of Azerbaijan’s open dialogue and emphasis on international cooperation in its policy of reconstruction and reintegration. It was stated that this approach not only contributes to the physical restoration of the Karabakh region in the post-conflict period but also benefits its intellectual and cultural development.
The Forum continued with discussions on global energy security, regional trade, the digital economy, and the management of natural resources within the framework of the new world order.
The Forum continued its work at ADA University, Baku on April 9.
