The training program for representatives of the National Commissions for UNESCO of 14 African countries has ended
General secretaries and representatives of the National Commissions for UNESCO of 14 African countries participated in the training.
At the closing ceremony, Aygun Hajiyeva, Deputy Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, Nargiz Ismayilova, Head of Executive Education at IDD, and Seymur Fataliyev, Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO congratulated participants on the completion of the training program. The speakers noted that it is the first time for our country to organize this kind of training program designed for the general secretaries and representatives of the national commissions for UNESCO. In spite of that, the program was successfully implemented and gave the participants a comprehensive impression of our country. It was added that the main purpose of the training sessions is to develop the existing cooperative relations within the framework of UNESCO, to increase awareness about our country, and deliver updates about the restoration and construction works in our liberated lands.
The participant representing Uganda, Rosie Agoi said that she has a broad understanding of the history and culture of Azerbaijan thanks to the program. She followed by reciting her written poem about our country.
It should be noted that during the program, the delegation visited Fuzuli and Shusha as well as Azerbaijani properties inscribed on the World Heritage List.
