Water Diplomacy Series Features a Lecture, "How to Green the Middle Corridor?”
On April 18, 2024, IDD hosted its next monthly Water Diplomacy Series.
The guest speaker of the event was Elmar Mammadov, Senior Advisor at the Presidential Administration as well as at the Secretariat of Azerbaijan First Vice-President. This impactful roundtable discussion titled “How to Green the Middle Corridor?” brought together professionals from academia, industry, and government. The event, held at ADA University, focused on exploring strategies to enhance the sustainability of the energy transition corridor, fostering dialogue on innovative solutions for a greener future.
The roundtable provided a platform for an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with making the energy transition more sustainable. Experts discussed cutting-edge technologies and best practices for reducing the environmental impact of energy production and distribution.
Insights were shared on the role of policy and regulation in promoting sustainable energy transitions, including incentives for renewable energy and energy efficiency. The speakers emphased the importance of collaboration between various stakeholders, including government, industry, and academia, to achieve a sustainable energy transition.
