UN Assistant Secretary-General Marcos Athias Neto Delivers Lecture at ADA University on Financing Sustainable Development
On May 8, 2024, ADA University had the honor of hosting Marcos Athias Neto, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator, and Director of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support, as part of its Global Perspectives Lecture Series. Mr. Neto delivered an insightful lecture titled “Linking Financing for Development and the Paris Agreement’s Nationally Determined Contributions for Sustainable Development”, addressing the critical intersection of financial strategies and climate commitments.
During his lecture, Mr. Neto emphasized the necessity of aligning financial flows with the objectives outlined in the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
