Our Research fellow and host of the #IDDTalks media project, Anastasia Lavrina, moderated the plenary session at the international conference, titled "Islamophobia as a Specific Form of Racism and Discrimination: New Global and Transnational Challenges" dedicated to the International Day of Combating Islamophobia. She moderated the session on "Islamophobia in France."
The conference, which was held in Baku on March 15-16, brought together scientists, experts from international organizations, and representatives of non-governmental organizations from 32 countries. It featured discussions on different approaches in the fight against Islamophobia, a manifestation of Islamophobia in some European countries, and Islamophobia on the international media agenda.The international conference was organized by the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, the Center for Analysis of International Relations, and the G20 Forum for Interreligious Dialogue.
