IDD and UNDP Concluded a Four-day Training Workshop
The Institute for Development and Diplomacy, in partnership with the UNDP NAP hosted a four-day training workshop from November 21 to 24 for technical experts focusing on "Climate Change Adaptation in Water and Coastal Areas."
During the workshop, we had insightful discussions led by the UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, Ms. Alessandra Roccasalvo, and the Deputy Minister, Ms. Umyara Taghiyeva, from the Ministry of Ecology and National Resources. Ms. Nargiz Ismayilova, Head of the IDD’s Executive Education, and Mr. Zaur Aliyev, UNDP NAP Project Manager, delivered certificates to the participants at the end of the workshop on the final day of training.
The training series were conducted by the International Expert on Climate Change, Ms. Ozge Kepenek Bozkirlioglu, the Water Expert, Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, and the National Gender Mainstreaming Expert, Ms. Khalisa Shahverdi.
The project brought together nearly 30 technical experts and civil servants who are responsible for environmental issues at their respective institutions.
This great platform not only supported the capacity building of various institutions but also provided networking opportunities for professionals.
