We hosted the experts from “Azergold” CJSC within CASPISNET Annual Meeting
The CASPISNET Annual Meeting brought together academia representatives and industry partners. This could be also defined as an opportunity for academia-industry partnership.
The last two days of the agenda included reviewing activities, planning for the future, addressing legal matters, and confirming new board members.
Discussions also covered a wide array of topics including water resource management issues as well as collaboration opportunities with the EU, Switzerland, and the UN.
The meeting concluded with a report summarizing the fulfilled works and a site visit to SOCAR. It was a productive discussion with SOCAR team focused on topical issues derived from Sustainable Development Goals.
Today’s agenda was highly hectic too.
We hosted the experts from “Azergold” CJSC representing the Strategic planning, project management and Geological exploration departments and other units.
We have discussed possible collaboration opportunities and participation of Azergold representatives in the next annual CASPISNET meeting.
The parties shared opinion on energy efficiency, mining and its environmental impact, as well as exchanged the views on jointly conducting sustainability assessment and reporting.
The final list of activities for today featured meeting with Executive Secretary of Azerbaijan's SDG Council, Mr. Huseyn Huseynov.
